Building on Last Years Success, 2025 off to a great start

2025 at Londonderry is Building on Last Year’s Success

Easton, Md. – As Londonderry on the Tred Avon enjoys a dynamic beginning to 2025, it is proud to reflect on a successful 2024 that set the stage for continued growth and innovation. The dedication of its team, residents, board members and community partners has been the cornerstone of Londonderry’s achievements, and these successes are already fueling a strong start to the new year. With a solid foundation built over the past year, Londonderry is poised to enhance its offerings and further strengthen its position as a premier destination for retirement living on the Eastern Shore.

2024 Highlights:

  • Awards and Recognition:

Londonderry’s exceptional care and service were celebrated in 2024. The community was honored to be a finalist in the Best of the Best awards in the Place to Work and Retirement/55+ Community categories, and proudly won in the Assisted Living/Senior Living category. Londonderry was also named Best Retirement Community by What’s Up Eastern Shore magazine.

  • Employee Development:

Londonderry is committed to investing in the professional growth of its team members, as evidenced by Chelsea Harris, Londonderry’s Director of Dining Services, who graduated from the Shore Leadership program. In addition, Londonderry also recognized the ongoing commitment of its staff through its annual service awards. Controller, Jennifer Hughes and Brenda Brown, member of the Housekeeping team, both celebrated 20 years of service. Three team members celebrated their 10-year anniversaries, and six team members celebrated their 5-year anniversaries.

  • Community Engagement:

Londonderry continued its tradition of fostering community spirit with events like its summer concert series and its 1950s-inspired “Londonderry Diner Event” which brought together over 150 guests, including residents, families, Board members, local elected officials, and community supporters. This annual event helped reinforce Londonderry’s strong ties with the community and set the tone for another year of meaningful connections.

Looking Ahead to 2025:

Building on the momentum of 2024, Londonderry is excited to enter 2025 with a renewed commitment to providing a vibrant, innovative, and supportive environment for its residents.

“We are incredibly proud of the progress made in 2024, and we are ready to leverage that success as we move into 2025,” said Christine Harrington, CEO. “Our goal is to continually enhance the experience of our residents and community, making Londonderry on the Tred Avon the premier choice for retirement living on the Eastern Shore.”
