Londonderry Team Members Graduate from Shore Leadership and Shore Leadership 2.0
Easton, Md. – Londonderry on the Tred Avon is proud to announce that two members of its leadership team — Erica Hardeo, Director of Community Engagement, and Jennifer Hughes, Controller — graduated from the Shore Leadership programs during a ceremony held at the Easton Elks Lodge #1622.
Hardeo graduated as part of the 2025 Shore Leadership cohort, which included 24 regional professionals who completed the nine-month program. Hughes completed Shore Leadership 2.0, which celebrated nine graduates this year.
“Shore Leadership was an incredible experience,” said Hardeo. “Even though I’ve worked alongside so many community partners across the region, this program broadened my understanding of the Shore’s unique challenges and opportunities. I’ve already begun applying new skills and new connections to strengthen Londonderry’s community engagement efforts.”
Hughes echoed this sentiment.
“Shore Leadership 2.0 gave me the opportunity to dig deeper into the issues shaping our region’s economic and civic landscape,” she said. “It was an energizing experience to collaborate with other leaders and bring back new ideas to support Londonderry’s operations and long-term planning.”
Shore Leadership’s curriculum is designed to expand participants’ understanding of the Eastern Shore’s economic, cultural, environmental, and governmental systems. Through monthly sessions led by regional experts, the program encourages collaboration and strengthens leadership capacity across industries.
Shore Leadership 2.0 is an advanced program exclusively for Shore Leadership alumni. The curriculum builds on the foundational experience with deeper exploration of leadership psychology, regional workforce challenges, and strategies for leading diverse, multi-generational teams. Through immersive sessions and facilitated discussions, participants refine their leadership approach and strengthen their ability to support resilient organizations across the Eastern Shore.
Hardeo and Hughes join a strong tradition of program graduates on Londonderry’s leadership team.
Since 1997, the Shore Leadership program has facilitated positive change and enhanced the quality of life on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. To apply to the Shore Leadership Program or Shore Leadership 2.0, visit https://shoreleadership.org/apply/.
