Londonderry Celebrates Successful Senior Supply
Drive as Part of 35th Anniversary Year of Giving
Easton, Md. –Londonderry on the Tred Avon is proud to announce the success of its 2026 Senior Supply Drive, an annual initiative led by the Londonderry Satellite Rotary Club, which saw an outpouring of generosity from residents and their families.
This year’s drive held special significance as it was incorporated into Londonderry’s 35th Anniversary celebration and its broader “Year of Giving” initiative—an effort to deepen the organization’s longstanding commitment to community service.
Throughout February, Londonderry residents and families rallied to support the Talbot County Health Department’s county-wide Senior Supply Drive, Overall, the entire drive collected more than 200 packs of essential items, including incontinence supplies, bladder pads, bed pads, wipes, and gloves. These items provide critical support to local seniors, helping them maintain their health, dignity, and independence.
A key highlight of this year’s effort was the expanded network of community collection sites. Local organizations and businesses, including the St. Michaels and Easton branches of the YMCA of the Chesapeake, Hill’s Drug Store, Pemberton Pharmacy, Austin Medical Supplies, Brookletts Place, and the Talbot County Health Department, played an instrumental role in increasing visibility and participation across the county.
Londonderry and its Satellite Rotary Club once again stood out as a leading contributor, collecting multiple bins of supplies along with monetary donations from its residents. The community’s contributions represented the largest single source of donations for the drive.
“This year’s response was truly remarkable,” said Carrie Ottey, Community Health Nurse Program Supervisor for the Talbot County Health Department. “The Londonderry residents are always so generous. It is so appreciated by everyone.”
Additional support came from Shore Regional Health, where the inpatient rehabilitation department and staff from the Requard Center for Acute Rehabilitation joined the effort, further strengthening the community-wide impact.
“We are incredibly proud of the way our residents and partners came together to support this important initiative,” said Christine Harrington, Londonderry CEO. “As we celebrate 35 years, this drive is a powerful reflection of the spirit of generosity and service that defines Londonderry—not just within our community, but throughout the region.”
The Senior Supply Drive is one of many initiatives planned as part of Londonderry’s anniversary year, reinforcing its mission to be “More Than a Home” through meaningful community engagement and support.
