This summer, we transitioned from our beloved farm in Wittman to Londonderry-a massive undertaking. Everyone at Londonderry eased our transition by supervising renovations to our cottage, sending willing staff to move our boxes to where we needed them, and engaging our neighbors as ambassadors to introduce us to our new community. The atmosphere and culture here are friendly and neighborly. It has been a soft and pleasant landing for us. From our time on the Priority List through the availability of a cottage to our move-in, the entire process went smoothly. The procedures were logical, and the staff made everything flow agreeably. The shareholder structure of this non-profit cooperative and Londonderry’s over thirty years of experience have ironed out kinks. Suffice it to say, we are pleased with our new home. Now, after more than two months, we feel welcomed and grateful.
