Meet Our Team

Christine Harrington joined the Londonderry team as CEO in the fall of 2023.  She is a lifelong resident of the Eastern Shore, currently living in Queenstown with her family. Christine graduated from the University of Maryland with a B.A. in Psychology and went on to earn an M.A. in Health Administration and Community Program Planning from Towson State University.

She possesses years of experience as both an organizational leader and day-to-day manager in the senior living work field, with over 15 years in an executive role. She was formerly the Executive Director of The Arbor Company, an Administrator of The Homestead Manor and Heritage Community, a QA Specialist for The Arc of Maryland, an Evening Supervisor for Genesis Healthcare, a Director of Community Health for St. Agnes Hospital and a Senior Residential Director for eMerge.

Christine is a Licensed Assisted Living Administrator in Maryland, certified Dementia Care Manager & Trainer and Certified Virtual Reality Dementia Tour Facilitator. She has also served as the President of Mid-Shore Nursing Advisory Committee for five years and is an active member of  Saints Peter & Paul Parish.

Over the years, Christine has had many interactions with Londonderry in her career. She looks forward to channeling her work expertise, her passion for senior living and her commitment to the Shore community toward a greater future for Londonderry.

Rachel has been a proud member of the Londonderry team for over ten years. She loves helping seniors explore what kind of retirement lifestyle they can have and enjoys hearing from new residents, “We should’ve done this sooner,” and “Why did we wait?” Rachel has a wealth of knowledge in the senior living retirement lifestyle.

As an Eastern Shore native, Rachel’s life is a beautiful blend of personal and professional responsibilities. She grew up with her two younger brothers on her family farm and later met her husband, Jeff, at Salisbury University. Together, they are raising three active boys, a role she cherishes alongside her professional commitments.

Rachel graduated from Shore Leadership and Shore Leadership 2.0, receiving the Future Leadership Award in 2022. She remains active in Shore Leadership by serving on the Program Committee and collaborating with other graduates to create new experiences for the incoming class. Rachel is also the Chairperson for the Talbot County Commission on Aging and participates in the Adult Public Guardianship Review Board, appointed by the County Council of Talbot County.

When not on the sidelines of the sports field, Rachel enjoys spending time with her family and friends.

Chelsea joined the Londonderry Team as Director of Dining in January 2019. Born and raised on Maryland’s Eastern Shore, she studied under many chefs and has accumulated over fifteen years of experience in the food industry. Chelsea is also a certified nutritionist specializing in senior nutrition, health promotion, and chronic disease management.

Her passion for cooking and food has been a lifelong journey, from her childhood helping her mom in the kitchen to tending to her grandfather’s vegetable garden. Chelsea takes immense pride in supporting local farmers and creating menus that are not only delicious but also highly nutritious for our residents. Her everyday motto is, “Eat good, feel good!”

Chelsea enjoys spending time with her family on the beautiful Chesapeake Bay when she’s not in the kitchen.

Erica has been with Londonderry for over five years, bringing a wealth of experience from her extensive career in the senior living industry since the late 1990s. Before relocating to the Eastern Shore in 2018, she was an Events Planner at an active 55+ community in central New Jersey.

Erica embodies Londonderry’s commitment to a holistic approach to wellness and passionately upholds its core values.

In her free time, Erica enjoys traveling and loves listening to live music by local Maryland musicians.

James Brooks joined the Londonderry team in 2021. He graduated from trade school with a journeyman’s license and began his apprenticeship with a local electrician. James and his team work tirelessly to keep the entire campus beautiful and safe inside and out. In addition to being an integral part of the Londonderry operations team, James has been a volunteer firefighter for over ten years, holding many positions on their board, including vice president and treasurer.

James enjoys riding motorcycles, hunting, fishing, and spending time with friends and family. When he can escape, he escapes to the Outer Banks and Florida.

Jennifer Hughes has been an integral part of Londonderry for 20 years. She began her journey working in the dining room while attending college and later transitioned into the accounting office. For over a decade, Jennifer has excelled as the Controller at Londonderry, enjoying her role working closely with both the team and residents. She deeply values the sense of community fostered by Londonderry’s cooperative structure.

An Eastern Shore native, Jennifer grew up in Preston, where her fondest childhood memories include playing with her cousins on her family farm. In addition to her professional career, Jennifer has dedicated 17 years of service as a Firefighter/EMT for the Preston Volunteer Fire Company. Outside of work and her volunteer duties, she loves spending time with her husband and their Golden Retriever.

LaCree joined the Londonderry team in 2021. Her favorite part of the job is bringing joy to the residents. LaCree and her team believe in those special touches that make residents smile when they walk into their homes after the housekeeping team has cleaned. In her free time, LaCree enjoys going to the beach and spending time with her two sons, family, and friends.

Lorraine joined the Londonderry team in 2015 and has since developed a comprehensive program that promotes a holistic approach to wellness and aging. She supports residents’ well-being by advocating for prevention, early detection, and intervention and facilitating care management and in-home care when needed. Lorraine believes that wellness in aging is not simply the absence of illness but the continuation of growth, learning, joy, and connection.

With over 45 years of experience in the Health and Wellness field, Lorraine spent more than 20 years as a hospital med-surg nurse, honing her clinical assessment skills. Later, she became certified as a fitness instructor and personal trainer, specializing in senior populations.

Her motto, “movement is medicine,” guides her senior-specific, music-motivated exercise classes, which incorporate five essential elements of fitness: cardio, strength, balance, coordination, and flexibility.

Lorraine recently started the Londonderry Caregivers Support Group, offering a safe space for residents to discuss the stresses, challenges, and rewards of caregiving. She strongly believes that maintaining a connection to the community is critical for caregivers’ sustained mental and emotional health.

Outside of Londonderry, Lorraine enjoys spending time with her four children and a growing number of grandchildren. An avid reader and lifelong learner, she continuously takes courses in nutrition, yoga, acupressure, music and dance therapy, positive psychology, and functional medicine.

On any given day, you can find Lorraine riding her trike around the Londonderry campus, making house calls, visiting residents, or responding to emergencies.

Rich joined the Londonderry Team as Director of Security and Transportation in 2023. Before his role at Londonderry, Rich worked for 23 years in the Baltimore City Fire Department and retired as a Captain. With his emergency management background from the Fire Department, Rich also assisted the Talbot County Emergency Operations Center with Response and Recovery during the pandemic, establishing the county’s testing and vaccination efforts to recover from Covid-19.

Since joining the team, Rich has loved the feeling of camaraderie he has with the other staff members, as well as the Londonderry residents. He couldn’t be happier with his position and looks forward to further strengthening these new relationships. 

Rich dreams of traveling to England and Italy. His favorite film is Ladder 49, in which he was an extra and advised on parts of the movie in a technical role. He enjoys the outdoors, boating, snorkeling and vacationing in Florida with his family each summer.
