Meet Our Board

John Flohr retired in 2018 after a four-decade career in the pharmaceutical industry focused in operations, marketing and sales. He most recently served as a Vice President of Konsyl Pharmaceuticals based in Easton.

John is an active member of the community and is a member of the Rotary Club of Easton, and served as its president from 2020-2021. He is also a long-time volunteer with the Waterfowl Festival and was on the organization’s board of directors for a decade. John is also a former board member for the YMCA.

John and his wife, Gail, moved to Easton from Washington DC in 1983 where they raised their sons. In retirement, John enjoys volunteering, boating, golfing, traveling and spending time with his family. 

Jean Rhian was recently elected to the Londonderry Board of Directors. Jean along with her husband Jerry have been Londonderry residents since 2019. Jean had previously served on the Finance Committee. Growing up in Frederick and Harford counties in Maryland, Jean graduated from the University of Cincinnati in 1978 with a B.A. and earned an M.B.A. from Wayne State University in 1980. Jean then worked at the Kmart Corporation headquarters as a systems analyst, designing business processes and mainframe systems. In 1985, she began working for Ford Motor Company in Finance and Governmental Affairs Systems, retiring in 2002.

Jean and her husband, Jerry, moved to Easton to be near family and enjoy the climate. Their four children and four grandchildren live in Maryland, Virginia, and Washington State. Jean is an avid reader, quilter, and walker.

Jean’s enjoys volunteer work including holding various leadership positions with the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, working as a mediator at MidShore Community Mediation, being an active member in Bayside Quilters, and volunteering with Talbot Interfaith Shelter and Chesapeake Multicultural Resource Center.

Steve Cades and his wife, Linda, moved to Londonderry in September 2020. He grew up in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in the Germantown/Mt. Airy section. Putting himself through college, he received his bachelor’s degree at Rutgers University in New Jersey and later earned his Masters and Doctorate degrees in sociology.

Steve became a teacher, and his first position was at Catholic University in Washington, D.C., where he taught for five years before being recruited by Washington College in Chestertown, Maryland, to teach in the Sociology and Anthropology Department. In his thirty years there, he grew the department, which he chaired, and became a full professor. He retired in 2008, but was brought back in 2010 to be Acting Associate Dean during a period of transition for the college.

Steve married his wife, Linda, in 1968. Together, they have two sons, Aaron and Michael. The family also includes two handsome cats, Lila and Merlin. Being a “fixer,” he requires a workbench wherever they live. Steve did the maintenance on his family’s old one-hundred-year-old house in Kennedyville, north of Chestertown. In his retirement, Steve’s particular pleasure has been to sing with the Chester River Chorale, where he has also been a member of a smaller auditioned chorus and a member of the board.

Londonderry’s Treasurer, brings a wealth of experience in accounting and a dedication to community service. Since moving to Easton in 1987, Horner has built a distinguished career specializing in nonprofit and small business accounting.
Her extensive experience includes auditing, tax preparation, consulting, and management roles at local, regional, and national CPA firms. Horner and her husband, Robb, are proud parents to their daughter, Kendall, and grandparents to Brantley and Mackenzie. Horner is deeply involved in community service, serving as Treasurer and Board Member for local organizations, including The Underground Ministry and Oasis Covenant Fellowship. She enjoys reading, crocheting, sewing, and mentoring women outside of work.

Dirck Bartlett helped start a family-owned construction company, ILEX Construction, Inc. in 1986 and has worked for ILEX ever since. He moved to Easton in 1998 with his wife, Christy. Together, they have two grown children, Peter and Katherine. 

Dirck is an active member of the Mid-Shore community: serving on the Board of the Academy of the Arts, the Talbot Historical Society Board, the Talbot Free Library Board, the Board of Pickering Creek – Audubon Center as Chairman, and served as Christ Church Vestry and Senior Warden. He currently serves on the Spring Hill Cemetery Board.  He is also a former member of the Talbot County Council (2006 – 2018)

His interests include historic preservation, fishing, hunting, watersports, and nature.

Brian Cotter is currently the Senior Director of Pharmacy Services for the University of Maryland Medical System, where he coordinates the pharmacy operations for all seven system hospitals. He also works as a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy.

His career spans four decades, and he has served as a healthcare leader and educator mentoring the next generation of pharmacists. He is active in his professional community and holds memberships in a variety of industry organizations and associations.

Cotter lives in Talbot County, close to his four grandsons, whom he loves spending time with, Finn, Logan, Liam, and Eamonn. He is a parishioner at Saints Peter and Paul Parish in Easton and acts as the assistant varsity basketball coach at Saints Peter and Paul High School. In his free time, Cotter enjoys staying active by riding his bike or practicing yoga, traveling, and keeping up-to-date with the Washington Nationals.

Nancy Henry was recently elected as a resident member of the Londonderry Board of Directors. She has lived in Talbot Co. for 48 years. Nancy obtained her education from Salisbury State College (BS), George Washington University (MA) and the University of Maryland (PhD).

Nancy retired in 2007 following a 41 year career in public education. Her career culminated with 17 years as the head of the special education program for Queen Anne’s County (MD) that served over 1000 students with disabilities.

Following “retirement” and for the next 10 years Nancy served as the volunteer coordinator for Pets on Wheels recruiting, training and evaluating over 50 teams of handlers and their pets for planned visits to nursing homes and assisted living facilities.

Nancy moved to Londonderry in Aug. 2023 with her two puggles, Stella and Frankie.

A professional fundraiser for 38 years, F. Graham Lee retired in 2022 as vice president of philanthropy for Shore Regional Health in Easton, Maryland.  

From 1989 to 2002, he was vice president of development of Memorial Hospital Foundation, Shore Health System. During this time, he significantly increased the assets of the Foundation, enhanced the Foundation’s planned giving program, worked with volunteers to complete a successful $7.5 million capital campaign, and created and established relationships with donors, medical staff, volunteers and the community.

Mr. Lee returned to Memorial Hospital Foundation, Shore Regional Health in 2012, where he organized and completed a successful $6 million campaign for the expansion of the Clark Comprehensive Breast Center and Diagnostic and Imaging Center.

Graham began his professional career in fundraising and development with the Boy Scouts of America, Wilmington, NC. In 2007, he became the chief development officer at the YMCA of the Chesapeake in Easton, where he helped lead volunteers and donors to a successful $5 million capital campaign to build the Thomas E. Hill Center for Youth Development.

Other organizations Graham has served includes Duke University Medical Ctr., Durham, NC; Geisinger Medical Center Foundation, Danville, PA; Baptist Health System, Knoxville, TN; St. Joseph Medical Center Foundation, Towson, MD; and President of Mid-Shore Community Foundation in Easton, MD. While at Geisinger, he worked with the Owner/Operators of McDonald’s to fundraise and create the first Rural Ronald McDonald House in the country. 

A speaker to non-profits on planned giving, capital campaigns, special events and building successful fundraising programs, Mr. Lee has served on many Boards and committees including Rotary Club of Easton, Friends of Easton Volunteer Fire Department Capital Campaign, Neighborhood Service Center, the Easton Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast, Talbot County Free Library, and many more. Graham and his wife, Brenda, have three adult children and call Easton home.

Graham graduated from Campbell University, Buies Creek, NC and did post graduate work in Radio and Television. He enjoys singing, photography, reading and fundraising.
