BEATRICE ELEANOR CONRAD- Bea Conrad is a native of Easton, Maryland, graduating from Easton High School and then from the former Easton Memorial School of Nursing in a three-year program. Her career in nursing encompasses George Washington University in Washington D.C., as well as 12 years in the Air Force Nurse Corps before, during and after the Vietnam War.
Using her G.I. benefits for education, Bea received the Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing (BSN), as well the master’s degree in nursing, from Catholic University of America in Washington. This led to her 22-year career in the Veterans Administration Hospital System.
Bea retired from nursing at age 55 after a career of 34 years in nursing. She was happy to serve her country and is grateful for her G.I. benefits. Moving to Londonderry in 2006 from her home in Easton, she has generously served on the Board of Directors and various committees.
